Oklahoma Chapter Minutes
July 18, 2002


The meeting was held at Miles Music in Oklahoma City and was opened and started 8:45am by our new president, Bob Scheer.

Norman gave the invocation. Minutes were read and accepted. No treasurer’s report.

Norman gave us a overall account of the Council session in Chicago. Barbara Cassidy is our new Executive Director. She was already involved in the Home Office activities.

New information presented on TSA: The initial date of October 2003 in now in question and is potentially being suggested for a new date of March 2004.

An update on Rhonda’s situation was given concerning the dog attack. The report is she is healing nicely. Compensation was initiated to reimburse her for her pants. Tongue in cheek follows: Bob & Ben indicated there were some side effects from this event, potential chasing cars and desire to consume Gravy Train :-) You are in our thoughts and prayers, Rhonda!

Greg Cochran, of Miles Music was presented to the group and gave a brief introduction to his store and the products therein. It was announced that Bob Scheer and his family are moving to a new home location in Edmond.

Tech tip on using a rubber grommet for muting string replacement was shown.

The technical portion was a presentation by Norman Cantrell and Bob Scheer of their Chicago Convention experiences. Norman brought numerous leaflets, flyers and neat tools. He also recounted his experience with extensive needling of a set of Imadagawa hammers that he installed on a Kawai KG-2.

Bob talked of numerous tech tips. He also showed Canadian based Roger Jolly’s capstan brace tool for rough adjustments and talked of his steaming hammers process.

By the end of the meeting ten persons had been in attendance:
Ben Davis, Keith McGavern, Bob Scheer, Norman Cantrell, Don Bonds, David & Barbara Bonham, Nathan Sobel, Ed Hamby, Greg Miles.
